Dr. Kaplan joined Premier Bone & Joint Centers in 1997. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Kaplan received his undergraduate degree at Duke University and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After medical school, he completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kaplan then went on to complete a nonoperative and interventional spine fellowship at the East Texas Medical Center Neurological Institute in Tyler, Texas.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Kaplan enjoys participating in outdoor adventures, including endurance mountain biking, dirt biking, trail running, and hiking. He continues to study and live the science of life extension by utilizing the anti-inflammatory, preventive, and disease fighting capabilities of whole food plant-based nutrition.
Dr. Kaplan is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
